Featuring a variety of workshops, installations, and interactive experiences from local makerspaces, youth collectives and more. Activities were geared toward a younger audience of creatives, ages 5 – 18. The goal of Youth Day was to provide free activities for kids to express their creativity in an open and hands-on capacity. These activities are intended to teach Detroit’s next generation of design stars about the many practical applications that design has in the professional world.
